A successful 3rd GRSP Africa Road Safety Seminar 2014

Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), through the GRSP South Africa and its GRSI Partners: Michelin, Renault, Toyota, Shell, Total and Renault would like to say thank you to all 133 partipants who attended the succesful 3rd GRSP Africa Road Safety Seminar on the 12th and 13th August 2014 at the Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa.

On behalf of Dr Peter Venter (GRSP International CEO), as well as the Board of Directors and members of GRSP South Africa, we would also like to send out a special thank you to the South African Minister of Transport, Minister Dipuo Peters, for her keynote address and valuable time spent in attending the seminar organised by GRSP International.

GRSP strongly feel that we have reached the seminar aims of bringing together city representatives and road safety practitioners from across Africa and elsewhere with the objective of raising the level of awareness on city specific road safety policy and management issues with regard to some of the most vulnerable user groups, namely children and youth; as well as initiating good networking relationships amongst road safety stakeholders.

GRSP are truly greatful and thankful for all the support and contributions towards reaching the united vision of reducing road crashes and fatalities on the roads around the globe, and thus stimulating support and action for the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020 .
