The Visibility Programme are targetd at primary schools in the area of a hazardous location.    It is clear that young road users must be empowered with relevant knowledge, applicable skills and a positive attitude to such an extent that road safety education can influence not only the individual learner but also the society.

Walking Groups

A ‘walking group’ is a group of children who walk to school along an identified ‘safe’ route escorted by two adult volunteers, one of whom leads (the ‘driver’) and the other follows (the ‘conductor’). The adult volunteers are usually parents of children in the walking groups. They supervise the walking groups on a rostered basis.

Weighbridge Intervention

Truck Driver Wellness and Health on the National Routes

The intention is to engage with third party motorists, specifically truck drivers by testing their overall health and physical wellness. The outcomes from this programme will ensure that the drivers:

- Are fit to drive;

- Raise their awareness to the need to maintain their physical well-being;

- Communicate results to the respective companies so that the organisations are aware of the driver and the vehicle condition.
