He is a researcher in the field of road safety, with publications at SATC 2018, 2021, 2023 and 2024. His work has also been published internationally at forums like the UK’s Transport Practitioner’s Meeting 2021 and The International Conference Series on Competition and Ownership in Land Passenger Transport 2024. He is currently the Chairperson of the SARF Road Safety Committee. Lemo is also the Chairperson of the National Road Traffic Engineering Technical Committee (NRTETC). Lemo also serves in various road safety platforms including SABS committees and NRTETC working groups.
